Core prompt: German-based CDA, a specialist for complex multi-μ-functional solutions on plastics, and Hacker Automation have entered into a collaboration agreement in the field

German-based CDA, a specialist for complex multi-μ-functional solutions on plastics, and Hacker Automation have entered into a collaboration agreement in the fields of lab-on-a-chip and embedded diagnostic systems.

Hacker Automation is involved in manufacturing standard platforms for 3D micro-packaging and interconnection.

Under the alliance, both the companies are planning to incorporate micro-optical, spectroscopic and printed electronic functionality in/on lab-on-a-chip systems and embedded diagnostic microsystems which are used in clinical and environmental applications.

Development of sensitive and complex devices, due to their compactness, is leading to high levels of parallelization.

The use of new functionality of appropriate micro-fabrication processes in the manufacture of sensitive and complex devices enables clinical, environmental and life science manufacturers to develop high volumes of components (singulated or as arrays) at relatively low cost.

In addition, both the companies also stated that the technologies, however, can also be used for manufacturing and packaging the systems.
