Module packaging service and LED substrate vendor Tong Hsing Electronic Industries expects its sales to drop slightly in the fourth quarter of 2013 as compared to the previous quarter in which revenues hit a record high of NT$2.24 billion (US$75.82 million).
Compeq also saw its profitability improve significantly in the third quarter, with gross margin climbing 4pp on quarter to 34.3% and net profits soaring 55.3% to NT$514 million. Third-quarter EPS stood at NT$3.16.
Net profits for January-September 2013 rallied 53.3% on year to NT$1.17 billion. During the same period, EPS reached NT$7.19 compared to NT$4.71 for the same period a year earlier.
Total capex for 2013 will be lower than the NT$1.51 billion spent in 2012, said Tong Hsing, adding that the company's capex for the January-September period of 2013 reached NT$740 million, decreasing 36% from a year earlier.
