Yieh Hsing, one of the major wire rod manufacturers in Taiwan announced to leave its list prices unchanged for May. After the price announcement, its list prices for Al-killed wire rods are at NT$24,500/ton; those for rimmed wire rods are at NT$23,700/ton; those for blast furnace killed wire rods are at NT$23,000/ton and those for electric furnace killed wire rods are at NT$22,300/ton.
It’s known that Yieh Hsing have remained its wire rod list prices unchanged for consecutive two months. Industry sources said that the wire rod transaction prices may remain weak in the Taiwanese market due to sluggish demand even though most of steelmakers kept list prices unchanged for May.
